Deploying and Operating KSQL

Tim Berglund, Sr. Director of Developer Experience, Confluent

Tim Berglund is a teacher, author, and technology leader with Confluent, where he serves as the Senior Director of Developer Experience. He can frequently be found at speaking at conferences in the United States and all over the world. He is the co-presenter of various O’Reilly training videos on topics ranging from Git to Distributed Systems, and is the author of Gradle Beyond the Basics. He tweets as @tlberglund, blogs very occasionally at http://timberglund.com (http://timberglund.com/), is the co-host of the http://devrelrad.io (http://devrelrad.io/) podcast, and lives in Littleton, CO, USA with the wife of his youth and their youngest child, the other two having mostly grown up.

Nick Dearden, Director of Stream Processing, Confluent

Nick Dearden is a technology and product leader at Confluent, where he enjoys leveraging many years of experience in the world of data and analytic systems to help design and explain the power of a streaming platform for every business. Prior to Confluent, he led the data platform group for a leading online real-estate seller and was chief architect for a cloud-based financial analytics platform. His early career stretches all the way back through multiple data warehouse and business intelligence adventures to the green-screen days of mainframe banking systems.

Hojjat Jafarpour, Software Engineer, Confluent

Hojjat Jafarpour, KSQL Project Lead, Confluent. Hojjat is a software engineer at Confluent and is a creator of KSQL. His specialties include large scale data management systems, with extensive knowledge and hands on experience on Kafka/Kafka Streams, Spark, SparkSQL and Hadoop Echosystem and NoSQL data stores. Hojjat has extensive expertise in the design and implementation of cloud-based systems, hands on experience in design, implementation and deployment on AWS, as well as database application development.

Sanvy Sabapathee , Systems Engineer, Confluent

Before joining Confluent Sanvy Sabapathee was an Automation Engineer and comes from a Devops/Agile background with a heavy focus on full stack automation. He now applies some of these practices in Big/Fast Data ecosystems, and in his role as System Engineer at Confluent Asia Pacific.

Guru Sattanathan, Systems Engineer, Confluent

Gnanaguru (Guru) Sattanathan is a Systems Engineer at Confluent. He focuses on helping enterprises to bring up Fast Data platforms that can process real-time events at a scale. His experience includes implementing IoT solutions & Real-time data platforms for enterprises across diverse industry verticals.
